Unfazed Brandon Petersen ready to lead Kaizer Chiefs in Soweto derby

Brandon Petersen will captain Kaizer Chiefs against arch-rivals Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon, confident he has earned his place. The goalkeeper returned from injury in Chiefs’ 3-0 Carling Knockout Cup last-16 win over TS Galaxy, keeping a clean sheet. Last season, he recorded 15 clean sheets and helped the team finish third, but costly mistakes and a slow start this season brought criticism. Petersen says negativity does not define him as a person or a footballer and stresses the importance of knowing his worth.
