Uniffac 2026: Leopards held to another draw and must wait to learn their fate

The DR Congo Under-20 Leopards drew 1-1 with Congo-Brazzaville’s Diablotins Rouges in the final group-stage match of the Uniffac tournament in Yaoundé. Kabundi scored in the 30th minute, but the opposition equalized in the 70th, denying Raoul Jean-Pierre Shungu’s side direct qualification for the semi-finals. Both teams have two points, but the Diablotins rank ahead with two goals scored, compared with one for the Leopardeaux, who are level with Gabon. The organizing committee will separate the teams using other criteria set out in the competition rules.
