Uniffac 2026: "We did not make a selection as we should have because we ran out of time" (Raoul Jean-Pierre Shungu)

The DR Congo U20 Leopards face Gabon on October 12 in Yaoundé for the Uniffac tournament, a qualifier for the next U20 Africa Cup of Nations. Coach Raoul Jean-Pierre Shungu stated they did not make an ideal selection due to time constraints, mainly choosing local players and only four playing in Europe. The Congolese team aims to defend their title won two years ago in Brazzaville, despite challenges related to European players' schedules.
