Unions reject TUC suspension, demand reversal of King’s College concession

Unions under the Joint Workers Council have rejected the suspension of industrial action announced by the Trade Union Congress (TUC). Chairman Abraham Onuche stated that the unions demand the reversal of the concession of King’s College in Lagos, which they view as detrimental to public education. They have protested for three days and barricaded the entrance to the Ministry of Education in Abuja to highlight what they see as a serious threat to the future of Federal Unity Colleges.
