United States: Entire family killed in plane crash

A Learjet 60 flying from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas crashed in Palm Beach County, killing all nine people on board. The victims included technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, their children Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, their nanny Anita Maria Cetina, and family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr. Pilot Jeff Gregory and copilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras also died. The NTSB is investigating; initial findings point to turbulence, icing, and possible signs that the aircraft broke apart before impact, but the cause remains undetermined.
