United States: Haitian Student Commits Suicide, Harassed Due to ICE Bracelet

Pierre Damas Bel, a 20-year-old Haitian student, committed suicide by jumping under a tanker truck in Ohio after being harassed due to an ICE electronic bracelet. He had recently started his studies at Wright State University and expressed his distress to his father during a video call. The bracelet was imposed after the removal of his temporary protected status, and he had attempted to have the device removed, which prevented him from participating in university activities.
