US charges five people over alleged Russian plots

Five individuals have been charged over alleged plots linked to Russian intelligence, involving surveillance, recruitment, and planned killings. The defendants, including Russian Yuri Khrameev and his son Kirill, along with two Cubans and a Venezuelan, face charges of conspiring to finance terrorism and murder for hire. Authorities revealed that the network recruited individuals in the US to surveil Russian dissidents, with offers of payment for assassinations both in the US and Lithuania.
