US: Donald Trump faces setback in midterm elections

Donald Trump congratulated Democrats after their midterm election victory and acknowledged that the war against Iran probably contributed to Republican losses. In an interview with Fox News, he said his opponents had “done a good job” and said he would work with the new Democratic-controlled Congress. He warned, however, that he would veto legislation that did not align with his political agenda. Trump cited higher oil prices and concerns about the conflict while refusing to view the result as a personal rebuke.
