US ICE agency to spend $16.7m on electric shock gloves

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency announced it will spend $16.7 million on 6,000 pairs of electric shock gloves. This no-bid contract was awarded to Kentucky-based Compliant Technologies. The gloves will be used in high-tension environments during arrests and civil disturbances, allowing officers to quickly control aggressive detainees.
