USA: Nigerians Involved in $215 Million Scam Sentenced

The U.S. Attorney's Office announced that twenty-five defendants, including Nigerians and Nigerian-American citizens, were convicted of an electronic fraud scheme that diverted over $215 million. The fraudsters hacked into business emails to send fake payment requests, targeting over a thousand victims across nineteen countries. Approximately $1.2 million in assets were seized, including luxury watches and a residence in Georgia.
