USA to host first women’s football Club World Cup in 2028 – FIFA

The United States will host the inaugural women’s football Club World Cup from January 5 to 30, 2028, FIFA announced. The tournament will feature 16 top-tier clubs from all six continental confederations. Initially scheduled for 2026, it was postponed by two years to take place after the 2027 Women’s World Cup and before the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Their journey has been supported by Game Connect, an Olympic Refuge Foundation programme that has used sport for six years to promote mental health and integration.

Algeria: Aït-Nouri refuses to make the first move as Hemdani makes his decision

Rayan Aït-Nouri reportedly has yet to apologize to Brahim Hemdani after their clash during Algeria’s September camp ahead of the match against Zambia. La Gazette du Fennec says a private apology is a condition for his return to the national team, making him unlikely to be called up for Algeria’s two matches against Togo on November 14 and 17 in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The 25-year-old is also struggling for playing time at Manchester City, with just three appearances and 123 minutes across all competitions, and no league goals so far.
