Uyo remains home ground for Super Eagles for now

The Nigeria Football Federation is not ready to move the Super Eagles’ home matches from Uyo to Lagos, though Lagos remains under consideration. The comments came after Nigeria lost 3-0 to Guinea-Bissau in a 2027 AFCON qualifier; Nigeria have three points in Group L, while group leaders Guinea-Bissau have six. The renovated Teslim Balogun Stadium has not yet been inspected or approved for international matches, and the NFF plans to consult players and test the facilities in a friendly. With less than a month before the November double-header against Tanzania, Uyo remains the most practical option for the next home game if Lagos is not cleared in time.
