Benin: The Community of Communes Discusses Priorities with President Djogbénou

The community of communes in the Zou department met with National Assembly President Joseph Fifamin Djogbénou on September 22, 2026, to strengthen institutional dialogue. Their demands included land subdivision, completing state infrastructure fences, implementing development plans, waste management, security, transhumance challenges, and building markets, hospitals, schools, roads, and public lighting. Mayor Auguste Aihunhin of Covè presented these needs, and Djogbénou praised their initiative while offering advice for local development.
