Serie A: Akor Adams fires Venezia to victory over Napoli

Nigeria international Akor Adams scored the only goal in Venezia’s 1-0 Serie A victory over Napoli on Saturday. Four minutes into the second half, he controlled a long ball from Simon Sohm, held off Amir Rrahmani and beat Alex Meret with a shot that deflected off the defender. Adams’ second goal of the season ended Venezia’s six-match league losing streak and gave the club its first win of the campaign. Venezia nevertheless remain bottom of the table with three points.
