The Superior Council of the Judiciary condemns the assault of a prosecutor by the police in Kisangani

The Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSM) condemned the assault on Ikobia Bahati, the Republic's prosecutor in Kisangani, by police officers during a cleanliness operation. In a statement, the CSM demanded a thorough investigation and sanctions against those responsible for the violence, emphasizing that magistrates are entitled to state protection. Several police officers have been placed in custody, including the officer who ordered the assault on the magistrate.
