Video: Peter Obi has made Obidients everybody’s enemy, Sowunmi says

Segun Sowunmi, a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, accused Peter Obi of making his supporters, known as Obidients, hostile to public figures who criticize them or disagree with them. In an interview on Vanguard’s Politics Hub, he said movement supporters had insulted figures including Wole Soyinka and former Labour Party official Doyin Okupe. Sowunmi also argued that political power must be negotiated and regional interests protected, saying Yoruba leaders should not give up their influence. His comments come as political parties prepare for Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
