Voluntary Surrender of FDLR: Kinshasa Reaffirms Commitment to Washington Agreements

Congolese Minister of Regional Integration, Floribert Anzuluni, conveyed messages from President Félix Tshisekedi to Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé and Angolan President João Lourenço, mediator of the Luanda process, to support the disarmament plan for FDLR. He affirmed that the DRC is committed to its obligations under the December 2025 Washington agreements, focusing on the voluntary surrender of the Rwandan armed group fighters. Diplomatic efforts took place in Lomé and Luanda, showing progress and the DRC's intention to rebuild regional trust.
