Nigerian film « Black Market » set a world record by attracting 51,000 viewers during a screening on September 26, 2026, at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos. Although Lagos' deputy governor mentioned 64,000 participants, only 51,000 were officially counted for the record, surpassing the previous record of 43,624 viewers in the Philippines in 2015. The event was organized as an official attempt to break a decade-old record recognized by Guinness World Records.
