Troops kill suspected terrorist, recover two AK-47s in Plateau

Troops of Sector 2, Operation Enduring Peace, neutralized a suspected terrorist and recovered two AK-47 rifles during an operation in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State on August 29, 2026. The operation was conducted following intelligence on criminal activities in the area. A suspicious vehicle was intercepted, and after the driver attempted to disarm a soldier, he was neutralized. Recovered items included rifles, magazines, and other equipment.
