Waiting for Hassan: Another Gaza doctor held by Israel without charge

Dr. Hassan Khalil Almukayed, a vascular surgeon at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, was taken by Israeli forces in October 2024 and remains held without charge. His wife Nadia described the family's inability to evacuate the area. He is one of at least 15 Palestinian doctors detained by Israel. The UN has recently called for the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, another detained doctor, who reportedly suffered severe torture.
