Walikale: Following clashes between AFC/M23 and Wazalendo, several schools remain closed in the Waloa Loanda group

Several schools in the Waloa Loanda group, North Kivu, remain closed due to ongoing insecurity from clashes between AFC/M23 rebels and Wazalendo in Buruso. Group chief Mwami Asili Mafuluko expressed concerns about the safety of children and urged the population to exercise caution. The situation has also led to the displacement of families fleeing the fighting, worsening the humanitarian crisis in the area.
