Walikale: Mindjendje, Mpety and Mera empty of their inhabitants after bombings related to fighting between AFC/M23 and wazalendo

The villages of Mindjendje, Mpety, and Mera in the Walikale territory of North Kivu have emptied of their inhabitants following bombings related to fighting between AFC/M23 rebels and the Armed Forces of the DRC, supported by wazalendo. Artillery fire has been reported, prompting many households to flee towards Pinga. Lavie Changwi, the administrative secretary of the Kisimba grouping, expressed humanitarian concerns, calling for a swift intervention from humanitarian actors to address the needs of the displaced.
