Wamalwa Demands Answers Over Alleged Ksh3 Billion Tender for New Police Uniforms

Eugene Wamalwa, leader of the Democratic Action Party (DAP-K), demanded transparency regarding a nearly Ksh3 billion contract for new police uniforms during a public engagement in Emali, Makueni County. He questioned the priority of changing uniforms when police officers face other issues like housing and salary deductions. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen defended the decision, stating it followed recommendations from a police reforms taskforce.
