War in Ukraine: 16 Cameroonians killed fighting for the Russian army

Sixteen Cameroonians, contracted soldiers, have been killed in the special military operation zone in Ukraine. Moscow informed the Cameroonian Ministry of External Relations on March 5, marking the first time Cameroon has disclosed casualties of its nationals in this conflict. In total, at least 96 Cameroonians have been killed among over 335 identified fighters in the Russian army, making Cameroon the second most affected country after Egypt.
