A farmer who called 999 after seeing a group of masked men near RAF Fairford early Sunday believes she foiled their plans by pure luck. Following the plane crash in Kenge, Kwango Province, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Guy Kabombo Muadiamvita held an emergency meeting with the FARDC high command in Kinshasa. Two senior military magistrates, Lieutenant-General Mutombo Katalay Tiende Joseph and Lieutenant-General Likulia Bakumi Lucien, died in the accident, along with members of their delegation. The Minister urged for exemplary conduct, respect for the deceased, solidarity, and continued operational duties despite the mourning, while stating that investigations are ongoing to determine the exact causes of the crash.
