Water interruptions planned in Woodstock, Strand and Grassy Park

The City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Directorate announced planned water supply interruptions starting October 5, due to maintenance at the Faure Water Treatment Plant. The plant will be shut down from 8am on October 5 until 6pm on October 7, with work including servicing valves, replacing pumps, and inspecting turbines. During this period, water will be rerouted from the Steenbras and Blackheath pipelines, putting additional strain on the city's water reserves, and residents and businesses are urged to conserve water.
