Water reliability gap persists as 68.79% of households receive daily supply

According to parliamentary data, only 68.79% of South African households receive a reliable daily water supply. Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina clarified that this figure represents 13,002,697 households out of the 18,900,714 recorded. The National Water Action Plan (NWAP) aims to stabilize municipalities and improve accountability through reforms and infrastructure investments.
