‘We will inflict further defeats on Trump,’ says Iran’s judiciary chief

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said those expecting US policy to change after the midterm elections were mistaken and warned that any renewed attack would widen the war that began on February 28. The anniversary comes amid the war launched by the US and Israel against Iran on February 28, which killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and disrupted energy markets and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani and judiciary chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejehi portrayed US setbacks in the war and midterm elections as defeats inflicted by Iran.
