We would have achieved more if Islamic scholars preached to bandits - Gumi

Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi stated that there could have been significant success if more Islamic scholars had been deployed to preach to bandits in northwestern Nigeria. He emphasized that many of these bandits are products of ignorance and social neglect. Gumi expressed that sustained engagement could potentially reduce the need for a predominantly kinetic approach.
