Save the Children warns of a severe food crisis in South Sudan, where families and children are forced to eat leaves, water lilies, and seeds meant for planting to survive. Nearly 7.9 million of the 12 million people are at risk of severe food insecurity, according to the government. Save the Children's director in South Sudan, Chris Nyamandi, warned that the situation could deteriorate further as the rainy season begins.
