We're ready to support reintegration of repentant bandits — Katsina Gov

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda assured bandits willing to renounce violence that the government would support their reintegration. He made the appeal during the inauguration of 152 housing units for internally displaced persons in Jibia, urging them to lay down their arms. The project, launched in October 2024, also includes a Climate Peace Entrepreneurship Centre, solar mini-grid, veterinary clinic, and water points. Radda noted improved security in Jibia, allowing farmers to return to fields, and thanked development partners including UNDP, GIZ, and the Norwegian government.
