Western Cape High Court refuses occupiers leave to appeal Transnet eviction

The Western Cape High Court rejected about 281 occupiers' request to appeal an eviction order involving Transnet properties in Woodstock and Salt River. The court was persuaded by evidence of extensive criminal activity, including tunnels used for storing drugs and stolen goods, and found that the occupation was operating as a base for criminal enterprise.
