WHO and the provincial health division (DPS) held a meeting on September 25 in Beni with deputies, community leaders, and religious representatives to enhance awareness, community-based surveillance, and rapid reporting of Ebola cases. Dr. Gaston Lubambo emphasized the role of local actors in improving public adherence to health measures, focusing on Beni, Butembo, Katwa, and Musienene, the main transmission hotspots.
