The World Health Organization warned that the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which has killed 61 people, had a "big head-start" and that blanket travel restrictions were hindering the response. The outbreak, declared on May 15, is believed to have been spreading earlier. WHO chief Tedros said the response was "catching up". No vaccine or approved treatment exists for the Bundibugyo strain.
