WHO warns of ‘devastating consequences’ due to delayed aid entry into Gaza

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that repeated delays in bringing life-saving medicines, prosthetics, and other supplies into Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing pose devastating risks to Palestinians in urgent need. Approved aid can only enter Gaza via Kerem Shalom, while Rafah is limited to limited movement of people, including patients seeking treatment abroad. WHO representative Reinhilde Van De Weerdt called for the unimpeded and predictable entry of humanitarian and health supplies, noting that medicines are mostly approved, but prosthetics have been rejected multiple times, delaying critical care for patients.
