Why moving with your pet abroad costs nearly Sh2m

Moving a cat or dog out of Kenya can cost between Sh65,000 and Sh2 million, depending on the destination, the size of the pet, and how the airline decides to transport it. Dr. Dennis Maube, a veterinary surgeon at Small Five Vet Clinic, estimates the costs range from $500 (about Sh64,780) to $15,000 (about Sh1.9 million).
