Last Thursday, drones struck Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline, leading to a suspension of operations. The 1,200 km pipeline carries approximately 4 to 5 million barrels of oil per day and allows the country to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, which is currently closed due to the US-Israel war on Iran. Saudi authorities stated that the attack caused injuries and damage to infrastructure in the Riyadh and Medina regions.
