Why watchdog nullified Sh1.86bn Kenya Power security tender

Kenya Power is under scrutiny after the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board nullified a Sh1.86 billion tender for enlisting 2,810 private security guards. The board identified several irregularities in the procurement process, including conflicting rules on the number of guards and unexplained changes to winning bids. Despite concerns raised by the General Manager for Supply Chain, the company's Accounting Officer rejected the recommendation to terminate the procurement.
