Woman asks court to stop alleged police harassment

Doris Ojuederie has filed a suit in the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja to prevent the Nigeria Police Force from arresting or harassing her over a dispute related to her planned marriage to Ifeanyi Ezenwaogene. She alleges that she was arrested on August 6, 2026, and pressured by police officers to write a statement without her lawyer present. Ojuederie claims that police threats have continued since her release, leaving her in constant fear of another arrest.
