Women Entrepreneurship: Deconstructing Stereotypes to Encourage Young Women to Start Businesses

The Youth Leaders Circle for Promotion and Social Protection (CLEJUPS) in the DRC conducts awareness campaigns to deconstruct gender stereotypes related to women’s entrepreneurship. The « Pour Elles » project, funded by the French Development Agency and launched in 2023, aims to economically empower women and reduce inequalities, especially in Kinshasa. The initiative focuses on young people to change perceptions about gender roles and encourage young women to pursue entrepreneurship.
