Women Journalists in Beni Strengthen Their Skills to Fight Cyberharassment

Fifteen women journalists in Beni (North Kivu) participated in a workshop organized by the Congolese Women's Development NGO Network (RENADEF), with support from the FRPC and Swiss Cooperation, to enhance their skills against cyberharassment. The training helped them understand legal protections, reporting procedures, and appropriate behaviors to defend themselves from online attacks, defamation campaigns, and reputation damage. Ruth Sabuni, the provincial gender division head in North Kivu, praised this initiative as an important step in combating gender-based violence.
