Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has called on Islamic clerics to work closely with security agencies, traditional rulers, and community leaders to strengthen the fight against banditry. During a sensitization program, he recalled that when he assumed office, 23 out of 34 local government areas were badly affected. His administration recruited 2,500 members of the Katsina Community Watch Corps, equipping them to support police and military. Radda expressed concern over informants and collaborators aiding criminals, and urged politicians not to politicize insecurity.
