World Bank Group Launches Philanthropy Hub to Unlock Capital, Knowledge and Networks

The World Bank Group launched its Philanthropy Hub at its first Philanthropy Forum, held in Bangkok during the Group and IMF Annual Meetings. The platform will serve as an entry point for identifying opportunities to mobilize philanthropic capital, solutions and knowledge, and for scaling development projects. Managing Director and Chief Knowledge Officer Paschal Donohoe said the Hub would connect ideas, resources and partners as development needs rise and public resources face constraints. More than 200 leaders attended the forum, where AVPN announced a technical-assistance fund for Health Works, the World Bank Group initiative to expand access to quality, affordable health services.
