World Environment Day: Ogun distributes 3,500 stoves to residents to combat climate change

To mark World Environment Day 2026, the Ogun State government distributed 3,500 clean cooking stoves to women, reducing indoor air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. The initiative was a collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment. First Lady Bamidele Abiodun highlighted its role in climate resilience and women's empowerment. The government also announced the development of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) as a sustainable waste-to-energy solution.
