World No 1 Sinner withdraws from Shanghai Masters as knee injury lingers

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has withdrawn from the upcoming Shanghai Masters due to a lingering knee injury, which has kept him off the court since winning Wimbledon in July. He announced on Instagram that he would not be able to compete and expressed his disappointment. The tournament features top players like Djokovic, Zverev, Alcaraz, and Medvedev. Sinner's absence may boost Zverev's chances to finish the season as world number one if he wins both the China Open and Shanghai Masters.
