Ugandan Woman Arrested in Nigeria with 87 Wraps of Cocaine

The NDLEA arrested 34-year-old Ugandan Farida Nansubuga at Lagos’s Murtala Muhammed International Airport on November 3, 2026. Officers found 87 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.15 kilograms concealed beneath her clothing around her pelvic region as she prepared to board a flight to Uganda. She said she had travelled with church members for a prayer session at SCOAN and agreed to collect the drugs for an acquaintance named Joy, expecting at least $1,000. In a separate airport seizure, the agency intercepted 750,000 tapentadol tablets hidden in a shipment declared as paracetamol, with an estimated street value of 900 million naira.
