South Africa wins 15 medals at the Tug-of-War World Championships 2026

The South African team won fifteen medals, including nine gold, at the 30th Tug-of-War World Championships held in Mossel Bay. Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Ricardo Mackenzie, congratulated the athletes for their achievements. The competitions took place from September 16 to 19, featuring teams from sixteen countries. Kittie Terblanche was named the TWIF Female Outdoor Athlete of the Year.
