Xenophobia: NIDCOM urges South Africa to protect Nigerians, black immigrants

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has urged the South African government to urgently protect Nigerians and other black immigrants amid renewed xenophobic attacks. Chairperson Abike Dabiri-Erewa expressed concern over the worsening situation, noting that Nigerian pupils are afraid to attend school and business owners are shutting down operations. NiDCOM called for increased police presence and clear condemnation of xenophobia from South African authorities.
