Xenophobia: Nigerians evacuated from South Africa arrive in Lagos

Evacuated Nigerians from South Africa arrived in Lagos on Thursday aboard an Air Peace aircraft, following recent xenophobic tensions. The Federal Government coordinated the repatriation in response to attacks targeting foreign nationals in South Africa. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had earlier stated that the first group would return on Thursday morning. The evacuees landed at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
