Xenophobia: NLC calls on South African unions to protect migrants

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called for immediate measures to address rising xenophobic attacks against African migrants in South Africa. In a letter to COSATU, President Joe Ajaero condemned recent killings of migrants and destruction of their businesses, stating that these attacks stem from worsening economic conditions. He also urged for an awareness campaign to counter narratives blaming migrants for unemployment and poverty.
